What to see in Yushkozero

What to see in Yushkozero

Yushkozero is a beautiful village by the river Kem. There's a lot to see in Yushkozero.

The Yushkozero Orthodox Chapel was built in 1997. The original building was burned to the ground decades ago.

Yushkozero is one of the few Viena folklore villages which is situated on a river. The suspension bridges crossing the river add to the picturesque village milieu.

The cemetery of Yushkozero is a combination of both old and new traditions.

Aleksandra Dobrinina worked at the village medical clinic for decades. Dobrinina is also remembered for establishing a garden for both decorative and useful plants. After her death, the garden went into decline. Nevertheless, she did succeed in planting the notion of growing trees and planting gardens on property.
